What is a Webinar?

 

A Webinar is an on-line conference that uses both your computer and telephone to bring information to you both visually and aurally so you are not just reading but actually having a live workshop experience. If you participate in “real-time” you even have the opportunity to ask questions. Webinars will be recorded and placed on the NAASLN website, so if you miss the real-time presentation, you may watch the Webinar at your convenience. Each NAASLN Webinar will bring one of the highly acclaimed NAASLN professional development sessions to your own desk, up close and personal.

How do I register for a Webinar?

 

1. Go to the Webinar Calendar for a list of all Webinars, with descriptions, dates and times.

2. Once you have made your selection, go to the Webinar Registration and select the desired registration format.

3. Upon receipt of your registration, you will receive a confirmation e-mail with sign-in instructions and session code.

 

 

How do I sign in to participate in the Webinar?

 

1. About 15 minutes ahead of the meeting, sign onto Webinar (link will be e-mailed), and download Webinar to your computer.

2. At the appropriate time, dial the phone number listed in the e-mail. Long distance costs are charged directly to the caller.

3. Follow the Webinar directions and you are ready for your meeting.

4. If you have dial-up for Internet service and phone on the same line, you will need to use a cell phone for the meeting.

 
 

Is the Webinar interactive?

 

You may send in questions before the Webinar, as well as during the presentation. The speakers will incorporate the answers during the Webinar and/or post answers the week after the Webinar on the NAASLN Website.

 
 

Do I receive any certificate of attendance for the training?

 

You will receive a certificate of attendance, which you may use for proof of professional development.

 
 

Can my program register for a group of participants?

 

Group registrations can be arranged for several people in the same office. Participants who wish to have a professional development certificate must have a separate registration (instead of group registration).
